William Daven Farr was born in Greeley, Colorado on May 26, 1910. Farr, a third generation Coloradan, pioneer rancher, statesman and banker is known for his extraordinary vision. Fred Johnson helped found Certified Angus Beef in 1978, and was chairman of that program for its first 6 years. Paul Hitch

During his lifetime in the family's agriculture business, Hitch Enterprises, Inc., Paul Hitch saw the business grow from cattle feeding into a credit corporation, cattle buying services, commodity services, and pork operations. Lynn Cornwell
