About Dale

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at Colorado State University, and I work in the Center for Meat Safety and Quality. 

How did the W.D. Farr Scholarship help you achieve your goals? The Farr Scholarship provided critical financial support, which has provided long-term financial relief for me and my family. Perhaps most importantly, the scholarship afforded me the opportunity to meet so many beef industry leaders and establish professional and personal relationships.  

What advice do you have for students to be successful? 
Work hard, be thankful, have faith, do the right thing, and above all respect everyone and everything.   

What do you think was W.D. Farr's most important trait?
W.D. Farr was a visionary always looking to make things better and always doing the right thing. Doing the right thing for the future of agriculture and mankind is something we should all live by.
